SUMMARY:DPP - CircThread Digital Circular Economy Conference
DESCRIPTION:Today product information is shared mainly for sales purposes when a product is sold\, with sharing between manufacturers\, retailers and other sales entities. Digital Product Passports (DPPs) will provide a key tool to transform and provide product information sharing between manufacturers\, other economic operators\, and consumers\, across supply chains and the product life cycle\, for sustainability\, circular economy\, and economic efficiency purposes. \n \nUnlocking product information with DPP\nThe Digital Circular Economy Conference – organized by CircThread on May 8\, 2025 in Brussels – will focus on how the sharing of product information can be transformed in the future\, enable automation to reduce costs of manual data sharing\, provide data access to other economic operators\, and enable significant sustainability and circularity use cases using DPPs benefitting the economy. Use cases will be presented across different sectors including consumer electronics\, construction and textiles\, among others. The event provides a vision of the future of data sharing ecosystems using DPPs. \nSjoerd Rongen (CoE-DPP) keynote speaker\nSjoerd Rongen (Coordinator Centre of Excellence for Digital Product Passports – CoE-DPP; a part of CoE-DSC) is one of the keynote speakers during this event. He will present: The Dutch DPP Excellence Hub: Bringing ecosystem partners together for DPP use cases. \nMORE INFORMATION \nREGISTER \n

SUMMARY:Visit the CoE-DSC booth at the Hannover Messe and learn more about Digital Product Passports
DESCRIPTION:Discover innovations and the status of the latest technologies at the Hannover Messe. This event is from March 31 – April 4\, 2025 and is one of the most important international platforms and hot spots for industrial transformations and innovations. With a broad range of topics\, it gives you essential insights to the future of industries. This years’ theme is ‘Energizing a sustainable industry’. \nVisit the CoE-DSC booth and learn more about Digital Product Passports\nThe CoE-DSC is a participant of the Hannover Messe. We share the Orange NL-booth with several other Dutch participants and are joining forces with the Dutch ministry of Economic Affairs and Topsector ICT. And of course we are joined by Gaia-X\, Catena-X and IDSA. \nWith the theme of the Hannover Messe in mind\, this year the CoE-DSC is focusing on the solutions and opportunities that Digital Product Passports (DPPs) can offer companies. DPPs play an important role in the European efforts to create a more sustainable society\, e.g. by contributing to a circular use of raw materials. From 2027\, various products in the EU (like batteries\, construction materials and textile) are required to have a DPP. This passport contains information about the origin of raw materials and the degree to which materials can be reused in a circular manner. \nWe hope the see you in Hall 8 to discuss shaping the future with innovative technologies\, like data sharing\, cloud and – of course – with the developments and implementation of Digital Product Passports! \nMore information?\nWould you like more information on our participation of the Hannover Messe\, our involvement in Digital Product Passports or our activities in general? Please contact us: info@coe-dsc.nl.

Furthermore\, John Deken\, Lead Engineer Systems and Integration at IJssel Technologie\, will explore the benefits of a DPP to modified roll production for steel rolls. How does the DPP provide insights into the current status and life cycle stage of the asset? Can the DPP provide insights into the useful life of the asset? Besides\, Minh Le\, Head of Connected Vehicle & Emerging IoT Offerings at Worldline and Member of the CIRPASS Consortium\, will address the potential costs and benefits\, as well as the impact that the implementation of the DPP may have on Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) through sharing the findings from a CIRPASS study.
